Dr David Marshall AM is Chair of National Spy Museum Australia and brings distinguished experience in leadership, governance, media, tourism and national affairs. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, he has led major media organisations and tourism enterprises, advised senior figures in government and public life, and served on a wide range of prominent boards and advisory bodies in the ACT and across Australia. His appointments have included ACT Tourism Commissioner, Chair of Floriade, and board member of the National Arboreum Canberra. He has also worked closely with law enforcement and national security agencies on media strategy, communications and leadership matters.
A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Dr Marshall was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his service to business, tourism and the community. His experience in strategic communications, public advocacy and high-level stakeholder engagement helps position National Spy Museum Australia as an institution of national significance with strong connections across government, industry and the wider community.
